I've been slacking off on my blog lately but I'd like to post a few pictures of what's been going on in November for us so far.
My two little artists!
RJ has been really enjoying using his whiteboard and markers. And the amazing thing is that he has been drawing a lot of things all on his own. The other day he came running into me and said "come see this mama!". I walk in to see that he has drawn the letter E. We haven't officially learned that letter yet but he recognized it and drew it. He can draw a face, sort of a stick body, a flower with petals and two leaves on the stem, a square, the letter T which he then puts eyes on, his own version of a fish/shark, an alligator, the letters A and B and the numbers 1 and 2. Of course this makes Blake jealous and he wants his own time on the whiteboard. Instead we have him sit on the other side and draw with/eat the chalk. :)
Baby Mia's Blessing in Las Vegas
On the weekend of the 3rd and 4th we traveled to Las Vegas to see baby Mia Moser blessed by her daddy. We left Saturday morning and stayed in the Cannery. It made me laugh so hard how when we got to the Cannery and unpacked, RJ took his underwear and pj's out and folded them real nice and put them in the drawer. Meanwhile, Blake ran around like a wild man holding the remote. Poor guys, it was a long drive!
We had a blast going out on the town with Justin and Rachelle for a hot date Saturday night! We went to eat at the Elephant Bar in Henderson and they treated us to a yummy custard at this place called Sheridan's Frozen Custard. It was sooooooo good to just sit and chat with Rachelle and get caught up on things. Baby Mia is so precious and squeezeable and we had so many people stopping and cooing over her throughout the night. Rachelle looks so happy to finally have her little girl. RJ and Blake were so happy to be with Gage and Jace again. It was like they picked up right where they left off 5 months ago. Of course I always forget to bring my camera out and I can't believe I don't have a picture of Mia- I guess I was too busy squeezing her! :)
Oh and another funny thing happened too- we're out to dinner and Rick gets a phone call from Ted, just a "how's it going?" phone call. Rick says "oh, we're in Vegas right now." Ted replies with something like "really? so am I!" What are the chances of that?! So that night Ted and Shay came to our hotel and we chatted and the guys went out for a bit. It was good to see them again and made me really excited for our upcoming Thanksgiving trip! Rick wasn't feeling very good so they gave him a blessing which was so nice....especially amongst the smoky smell of the Cannery. We won't be staying there again. Next time I'm going to take up the offers of our friends there. :)
Rachelle's mom made this gorgeous white blessing dress for Mia. It was long with beautiful ribbons, it was beautiful! Justin gave a beautiful blessing too. I can't believe they have 3 now! It was also so good to see everyone from our old ward. We felt so loved- so many people came up to say hello and give us hugs. The dynamics of the ward have changed a bit and it was sort of weird not to see Bishop Olive up on the stand. We felt right at home and it was good to be there. After church we went over to the Mosers for a yummy dinner and dessert and a chance to visit the family. It's so nice because we feel like we're family when we're there with them. They sure make us feel loved! I cried when we left- I miss Rachelle and the boys and our talks and walks and going to the park so much. We're trying to convince them how great it is out in AZ! :) We'll see how good our persuasive talents are!
Pirates...Arrrggghh Matey!
RJ was invited to a Pirate birthday party by his friend in our ward, Micah Ao. We weren't able to go because it overlapped with our Las Vegas trip but Becky still gave us the bag of treats she gave all the kids. I put the bag on RJ's shelf and the next morning I was awakened to a "mama! can you help me put my hat on?" RJ had this pirate vest and the eyepatch on and a bunch of gold coins in his hands. I couldn't help but wake up and smile. He was soooooooooooo excited about his pirate stuff. Blake then found a bandana a wanted it on his head just like his big brother had. So here are my little pirates!

I love my boys. The pirate outfits are too cute. I can just hear Kiki saying "aaaarrrghh Bubba!" She would have been dressed up right along with them:) I'm glad you had a good time with Rachelle at the blessing. Tell her congrats on baby Mia. Also, I can't believe what a good little artist Bubba is. You must be a great teacher. He blows me away with all of the things he knows. What a smart boy!
