So we discovered that Bubba is allergic to something (we think that something is Aloe Vera!) He woke up in the middle of the night saying "it's itching, it's itching!" I scratched his back, thinking not much of it. We put some hydrocortisone cream on it (which contains aloe vera) to make the itching go away. He was fine until the next day when the itching came back and he promptly brought me the hydrocortisone cream. I put some more on and he immediately broke out in hives. His skin everywhere was raised and red and itchy- it scared me so much to see him like that! Of course I wasn't even ready for the day but we went to Urgent care and he was such a little trooper in there. He was itching and red everywhere but when the nurse brought him in to take his vitals and take a look at him he sat there on the bed and said "I'm itching everywhere!" He was like a little man- he never cried- was just upset that he was itching. Then we had to wait for a few minutes before the doctor came in and he was saying "mama, where in the heck is that doctor? What in the heck is he doing?" I laughed so hard! Soon enough I was saying the same thing- not laughing anymore. Then when the doctor walked in RJ immediately said "Dr., what the heck is wrong with me?"- all the while scratching. She got a chuckle out of that. All in all, we had to give him an anti-histamine every day and some Benadryl to keep his nerves in tact but he survived it....my little brave man!

It was actually chilly today so I took a picture of the boys looking at the overcast sky- a rarity here in AZ! Notice the window is open so apparently it wasn't chilly enough!
...Thanksgiving Week...
We had a great time in Utah with family for Thanksgiving. The boys and I flew up to Salt Lake on Saturday, the 17th. Carl and Mary-Jane met us at the airport and helped us get all of our junk to the house. I'm sure they thought I was officially moving in with them with how much luggage I brought along. :) I still haven't learned how to pack light and frankly, I don't know that I ever will! Anyhow, Ted and Ann and the boys met us up at the house in Bountiful and we visited and the boys enjoyed seeing one another. We stayed the night at Ted and Ann's house on Monday night. The boys were crazy together and had so much fun, and I enjoyed having some time to chat with Ted and Ann. The next day we bundled the boys up and went to look at model homes in the Lehi area. I love looking at model homes! LeeAnn and I shopped with the boys for a few hours on Wednesday morning which was fun. Rick flew in on Wednesday evening after Tyler's 1 year birthday party at the Jorgensen's house. Debbie threw a fabulous party complete with games, prizes and great pizza.
RJ loved building blocks and castles with LeeAnn- and I think she had just as much fun with him too. :):)
The boys also loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa Biehn. Carl would frequently go and play the piano and Blake and RJ would wander in and sit down next to him and plunk out a few notes of their own.
Thanksgiving day was great! My job was to make creamed corn and a Chocolate cream pie which I enjoyed doing. MJ made about 12 delicious pies for us, all of which were yummy (I think I tried every one of them!) We had turkey, ham, stuffing, yams, creamed corn, etc, etc, etc...you name it, we had it. Why does it take so long to prepare and so little time to eat it?

The family picture!
Blake enjoys his Turkey dinner very much!

The kiddy table!
Blake "helping" do dishes. He pulled this little caterpillar toy around the house for about 10 minutes...back and forth, back and forth on the wood floor. We enjoyed watching him.

This apron was meant for me!
Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera out (like usual) but we girls went on a girls night extravaganza in Park City. We left on Friday afternoon and rented a condo in Crestview Condominiums. It looked really nice at first but the closer we looked, the dirtier it got. We did however enjoy fondue together and about 7 hours of talking "girl talk". Each one of us ended up telling our "how we met our husbands" stories throughout the night. I think I giggled a lot that night. :) We went to sleep around 2 AM and woke up around 9. I can't remember the last time I woke up when the clock said 9 AM. It was heavenly! We had Crepes for breakfast and about 2 more hours of talking and laughing and enjoying ourselves. It was very rejuvenating for me and for all of us I'm sure. We then went shopping at the Outlets just across the way and found some good deals. Good times and great memories!

...Back home again...
Well I was supposed to start packing up our place on Monday but of course that didn't happen. Didn't happen on Tuesday either. It takes me a bit to get back into my routine when I've been on vacation. :) I'm spoiled, I know. I was trying to get our finances in order on Monday and apparently spending a lot of time at the computer because RJ surprises me with lunch made and put on the table. He got his stool out and pulled out the pb and honey and plates and made sandwhiches for the 3 of us. I was so involved with what I was doing that I didn't even notice becuase all of a sudden he comes up to me and pats me on the back and says "Mama, lunch is ready. It's time to put the computer away now." I laughed so hard! He even helped Blake get in his high chair. I was impressed- a boy who takes matters into his own hands. :)
