9/7/08- Daddy and Miss E are enjoying a nice nap together on Sunday...

9/9/08- While Bubbs goes to preschool, Boy Scout and I have a little time together. We were working on some letters in the alphabet. The other day Scout kept pointing to my purse and saying "mama, want an O, want an O". I couldn't figure out what he was talking about so I told him to get me an "O". He pulls out one of the orange certs/mints he loves. He calls them "O's". I thought that was pretty darn smart of him to recognize that it's an "O"!

Boy Scout still loves playing with "Whitning Acqueen"

9/11/08- My honey turned 32 today! And boy what a birthday we won't forget! We were preparing the final food for his birthday party around 5:30 or so when the power went out! Thankfully I have a gas stove so we were able to finish boiling the ribs and potatoes. We thought for sure the power would come on again any minute. Let's just say we ate by candlelight, opened presents by flashlight and had cake by both candlelight and flashlight. Thankfully there was a very cool breeze outside so we opened the windows and kept cool. Of course there was a lot of dust all around my house by the end of the night but we made it! Daddy says he still had a great birthday party. He got lots of cologne, golf balls and a new glove and a new pair of Ecco shoes that he loves! He also bought himself the Wii Fit with his birthday money from his parents. Oh by the way- the power did come on again- the next morning around 9 AM. I was stressing about all the food in my freezer in the garage and in the house but it was okay. We made it!

A birthday card handmade by Bubbs for daddy...

9/12/08- Miss E loves her daddy!

9/13/08- Grandma B has taken such wonderful care of us all week. Thank you, Grandma! You've been absolutely wonderful to us all! Saying goodbye's to the boys...

Bubbs made a thank you card for Grandma that morning. I think she loves it!

While we went to lunch with Grandma and took her to the airport, Bubbs and Boy Scout stayed with the babysitter. Together they made a dinosaur out of tinkertoys. They love Mercedes!

More tinkertoy creations with daddy on Sunday before church. This time they made "Rocket" from Little Einsteins.

Bubbs's own version of a tinkertoy bee- complete with a "stinger"!

We've been working in reading with Bubbs. He's getting so good at his sounds that we are trying the "Bob Books" that Gigi bought him. In the beginning he was picking it up so fast that I was surprised. Then I discovered he was saying what he saw in the picture so I decided to see how he did if I covered up the picture. His response was "mama, I can't read if the picture is covered." Ah-ha! We've been working without the pictures and he's finally learning how to sound things out. He is on book 3 now and is feeling so good about himself since he can "read". "I'm reading mama, I'm reading!" he says so happily. Music to my ears!

Fun to see all the fun pictures. You'll have to let us know how Wii Fit is. I've been wondering. Keep the pictures coming, it is fun to see them since you're far away. We miss you!!
Sounds like you guys have been up to LOTS of fun! How nice to have had Grandma Biehn there to spend some time with. I'm sure the boys loved that...and you too! I can't believe Bubba is at the age to start learning to read. He just seems like he's still that little 2 year old boy running around:) They are growing up way too fast! I need to start teaching Kenadee her sounds. She's got her letters down pact, but the sounds are seeming to be a little more difficult for me to teach:) This is hard stuff being a mom! Anyways, the boys are as cute as can be and little Ellie is getting bigger and cuter everytime I see her! We sure love you guys! See you tomorrow:)
Love, Klorissa
So fun! I love those Bob Books! They are awesome. I am glad that you are enjoying your three kids. Miss you!
I know this is a bit late but Happy Birthday Rick! That little girl is so adorable. How do you seriously not just sit and squeeze and kiss those cheeks?? We need to come see her, so I can kiss and squeeze them myself!
